How results are ordered

By default results are listed alphabetically by school, then by program. There is no price ranking: tuition is published in different currencies, for different periods and for different student categories, so it is shown in its original form and never converted. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they appear in their own labelled block and never change the order of organic results, verification or recognition information. Online programs are never counted as physically located in a destination, state or city. Read the methodology.

Hospitality degrees in Switzerland: what the verified records show

Our verified records for Switzerland cover 9 specialist hospitality schools, 2 business schools and 1 university of applied sciences, with 31 hospitality management degree programs. Online-only programs are counted separately and are not described as local.

By level: 12 master’s, 14 bachelor’s and 5 mba. Titles are shown as each institution publishes them; similarly named awards are not treated as equivalent across countries.

Teaching languages in these records: English and French. 7 programs are documented as taught entirely in English; a translated website alone is not counted as evidence.

11 programs are awarded by an institution other than the one that teaches it (partner, validated or joint awards). The profile of each shows who awards the degree and where you would study.

28 programs publish tuition. Each amount keeps its own currency, basis and academic year, which is why prices are never ranked against each other.

12 programs have a published internship or placement requirement. The placement is part of the degree structure, not a promise of employment.

Published tuition in Switzerland

Each line is what the institution publishes, in its own currency and basis (per year, per semester, per credit or for the whole program), sometimes for one student category. Lines are listed alphabetically, never ranked, and are not converted or added up. Open a program for the academic year, what is included and the source.

16 more programs here publish tuition; use the programs view above to see them.

Admissions and recognition: what to check

Entry requirements differ by level, institution and sometimes by campus: prior education, language tests, work experience and intake dates are shown on each program profile with the page they came from.

Recognition is recorded with its scope. An institution’s recognition, the authority to confer a degree, a program accreditation and an association membership are different facts, and none of them is extended to another campus or to a partner automatically. Rankings are not recognition.

11 programs here are awarded by an institution other than the one that teaches them, so check the awarding institution’s recognition and whether it covers the campus where you would study.

4 of 12 institutions here have at least one recognition record verified in an official source; the others are “not verified” or “stated by the institution” on their profiles, which is not the same as having no recognition.

Studying hospitality management in Switzerland

Hospitality management degrees in Switzerland are offered by public universities of applied sciences and by many private hospitality schools. Several private schools deliver programmes whose degree is conferred or validated by a different university, so the awarding body and the campus that teaches the programme should be checked for each degree.

Qualification structures

Award names and levels are local to Switzerland. A similar name in another country is not assumed to be equivalent.

Bachelor of Science from a university of applied sciences
Public universities of applied sciences such as Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts confer Bachelor of Science degrees in hospitality management, in some cases as a top-up for holders of higher-vocational hospitality diplomas. Source
Private-school degrees awarded or validated with foreign universities
Some private Swiss hospitality schools state that their bachelor's and master's degrees are awarded or validated together with a UK or other foreign university. Source

Languages and admissions

Teaching languages. English-taught hospitality programmes are common at private schools; public universities of applied sciences also run English-language hospitality tracks alongside German- and French-language study.

Admissions. Private hospitality schools publish their own entry requirements, typically a secondary-school qualification for bachelor's programmes and English proficiency proof such as IELTS; check the individual school page. Source

Nothing here establishes visa, work-permit or credit-transfer eligibility. Check current rules with the official sources below and with the institution.

Recognition of institutions and degrees

Swiss higher education institutions that want to use the designations 'university', 'university of applied sciences' or 'university of teacher education' must obtain institutional accreditation under the Higher Education Act (HEdA). The Swiss Accreditation Council decides on accreditations and keeps the list of recognised or accredited institutions. Source

Recognition is recorded with its scope: an institution, an authority to award a qualification, a program accreditation or an association membership are different things, and none extends automatically to another campus or partner.
