Research checked

We verified the facts on the profile against official sources and recorded the source and date. This has nothing to do with payment.

Claimed by school

A representative whose identity we verified manages the profile and can propose updates. Updates are still checked against official sources before publication.

School-submitted

The information was supplied by the institution and has not yet been fully checked by us.

Sponsored

A paid placement, such as a sponsored card, destination sponsorship, search placement, enhanced listing or guide sponsorship. It says nothing about quality, verification or recognition.

What sponsors can buy

• A sponsored school card in a dedicated slot: home page, destination, state, region or city pages, degree-level, subject and online pages, search results and guides.
• An enhanced listing: additional presentation on the institution’s own profile, using material that the institution supplies and that we review.

What sponsors cannot buy

• Recognition, verification, accreditation status, reviews, rankings or guaranteed inquiries.
• A position in organic results or a place in the editorial selections on the Best pages.
• Removal or softening of correct but unfavourable facts.
• Control over editorial guide text.

Free listings

Basic factual listings are free. Being listed does not imply sponsorship, and sponsoring does not change how an institution is researched.

Measurement

Sponsored impressions and clicks are counted in aggregate for reporting to sponsors. See the privacy policy. Outbound clicks are intent signals, not inquiries or enrolments.
